About Us

BrighterEnergy.org is a free-to-access website offering daily news and information about the development of cleaner energy in the US.

Just over 10% of energy generated in the US during 2009 came from renewable sources, with about a third of this from hydroelectric power stations.

With concerns about limited fossil fuel resources, long-term energy costs and the environmental devastation caused by oil and coal fuels, legislation and economic drivers are encouraging the move towards more renewable energy usage.

BrighterEnergy.org was launched in January 2010 to help highlight the progress and challenges within this growing industry and bring together clean energy companies with potential customers, partners, investors and supporters everywhere who are working for a brighter, cleaner United States.

Organisations involved in renewable energy and low-carbon transport are welcome to send in press releases, news updates and product or service information to BrighterEnergy.org to help inform our news service and information pages.
