Free Hot Water's FHW-FC7275A solar heat collector
Free Hot Water has had its solar hot water systems certified by the Solar Rating Certification Corporation, it said this week.
The manufacturer and distributor based in San Jose, California, received OG-100 certification for its 7000 series solar collectors.
The certification means customers will be able to apply for most state and federal rebates and incentives, the firm said.
With federal tax credits offered for up to 30% of a project, many US states also offer incentives that “dramatically” reduce the costs of a system.
Free Hot Water said its FHW-FC7275A solar collector is designed to maximize the conversion of sunlight into usable heat for domestic hot water, space heating, pools, and large commercial applications.
The system provides a thermal output of 1.64kW, or 28,000 BTUs per panel per day.
Its manufacturer said the collector is designed for easy installation, and comes with a 10-year warranty.
The company engineers solar hot water systems unique to each project, from the solar thermal panels and custom mounting systems, to the storage tanks, heat exchangers and circulation pumps to make use of the solar heat in building hot water systems.
The firm has a worldwide network of distributors, independent dealers and installers to support projects for residential, commercial and municipal customers.
