Wind farm operator UpWind raises $28.8m to fund growth

Oregon-based wind farm operator UpWind has raised $28.8 million in equity finance from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers’ Green Growth Fund and founding shareholder MissionPoint Capital Partners. The financing round will fund “substantial” growth in its work providing operations and maintenance services to the North American wind industry, said the company, which has its head office in Medford.
