Solar-powered iPhone charger goes on sale

Cincinnati-based USA Solar and Digital Communications Technologies has unveiled a new solar-powered battery recharger for the iPhone (pictured right). The 9.8oz MZH-1200 device, which also charges iPods and Nanos, is being called the world’s most powerful solar power station of its size.

The company, which markets under the “Muzatch” brand name, is offering the gadget in five colors for $49.95 each, on its website. The company is also designing other solar chargers, including a BlackBerry device.
