ECOtality

ECOtality is an electric vehicle technology specialist based in San Francisco, California.

Through its subsidiary ECOtality North America (formerly Electric Transportation Engineering Corporation, or eTec), it develops advanced transportation and energy systems.

The company produces the Minit-Charger line of fast-charge systems for airport ground support equipment, material handling equipment, transit vehicles (buses) and light duty passenger cars. The Minit-Charge technology can provide a safe and meaningful charge for an EV in approximately 15 minutes.

ECOtality North America is now working with motor manufacturers Nissan and Chevrolet on the federally-funded EV Project, which is deploying thousands of charging stations to support the new Nissan LEAF and Chevy Volt in 15 strategic markets in six states.
