Reno city sites in 1.3MW solar power project

Reno City Council has awarded a contract to build 1.3 megawatts of solar photovoltaic systems for city sites.

Nevada Solar Works will build a 1MW ground-mounted system at the Reno-Stead water plant.

Five other locations will gain 295kW of roof or ground-mounted arrays at no upfront cost to the city.
