The National Baseball Hall of Fame is to receive 2,000 renewable energy certificates (RECs) to match the 2,000 megawatt-hours electricity it will use over the course of the baseball season.
The Green-e certified RECs are being donated by Baltimore-based Constellation Energy from wind farms in a deal facilitated by New Hampshire-based energy services company Usource LLC.
The move will support the building of new wind farms, Constellation said.
