Puget Sound Energy buys 9-acre site for wind operations center

August 19, 2010

Washington State utility Puget Sound Energy has purchased nine acres of land outside downtown Pomeroy, Garfield County, for a new wind operations and maintenance facility.

Construction on the facility is set to begin this fall, with a 15,000 square foot building to house up to 25 employees.

The facility will allow for the monitoring and managing of PSE’s 343MW Lower Snake River Wind Project currently under construction nearby.
