Connecticut Capitol fitted out with vehicle charging station

August 18, 2010

Connecticut’s State Capitol Complex is being fitted out with an electric vehicle recharging station.

The $7,500 facility was donated by Northeast Utilities and Enfield-based tech firm Control Modules Industries, and is being installed in the Legislative Office Building in Hartford.

The installation comes as the state finalizes plans to prepare for a wider adoption of electric vehicles, with a report expected September 1.
