Southwest Windpower’s Skystream training program accredited by IREC

Small wind manufacturer Southwest Windpower has had its Skystream training program accredited by the Interstate Renewable Energy Council.

The five-day factory training course covers siting, installation, maintenance and repair of the company’s 2.4-kilowatt wind turbine, the Skystream, for professional installers.

The IREC certification is recognized by other governing bodies like the NABCEP, and should allow dealers attract more business, the Arizona-based company said.
