First Solar President appointed to chair 2010 Manufacturing Council

U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke has appointed First Solar President Bruce Sohn to chair the 2010 Manufacturing Council.

The Council is directed by the Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration, and was established in 2004 and recently re-chartered.

Mr Sohn said: “I am pleased to chair this important committee and look forward to presenting the U.S. government with suggestions and direction to strengthen the American manufacturing sector.”
