Frozen foods manufacturer Carla’s Pasta is to generate its power on-site with a 300-kilowatt fuel cell system from Connecticut company FuelCell Energy, Inc.
The DFC300 plant is being installed by LOGANEnergy, and will mean the company will have a reliable source of power offering both electricity and heat.
The facility is expected to be operational mid-2011, delivering 60% of the factory’s needs with an 80% conversion efficiency.
