Washington wind farm’s 50,000th visitor names turbine

July 26, 2010

Seattle resident Sara Battin became the 50,000th visitor to the Wild Horse Renewable Energy Center, near Ellensburg, Washington State last week.

As a result of the milestone, Ms Battin was given the right to name one of the best-producing wind turbines at Puget Sound Energy’s 150-turbine Wild Horse Wind and Solar Facility.

Ms Battin, who was also celebrating her birthday during the visit, named the A-1 turbine “Serendipity”.
