WEA secures wind development rights for Pennsylvania site

July 15, 2010

Wind farm developer Wind Energy America, Inc., has agreed long-term development rights for 650 acres in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.

The deal paves the way for a wind farm of 20-megawatts or more to be developed, dubbed Grosser Mountain Wind I, by 2012.

The project set for a location northeast of Harrisburg will be the first in Pennsylvania for WEA, which is based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
