GE unveils charging station to cut vehicle recharging time

GE has unveiled a new easy-to-use electric vehicle charger it says should mean charging a vehicle in less time.

The power company said the new charger would cut charging times for vehicles down from an average of 12-18 hours to as little as four to eight hours.

Commercially available from 2011, GE said it is also working on a version specially designed for use in the home.
