Missouri adopts PACE program legislation

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon has signed a bill into law allowing cities and counties to run Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) programs.

Despite concerns expressed last week by the Federal Housing Finance Agency (see this BrighterEnergy.org story), Gov Nixon said PACE programs were widely supported and would help many clean energy projects move forward.

PACE programs allow homes and businesses to finance energy efficiency upgrades and renewable energy projects through the property tax system.
