Southern California Edison seeks power contracts

Californian utility Southern California Edison (SCE) has issued a request for offers, seeking new power contracts with independent generators.

The request seeks all sources of electric generation, including renewable sources, for up to 48 months starting in January 2011.

SCE, which serves 14 million people in Central, Coastal and Southern California, will conclude its solicitation in early October 2010.
