Are Flex Fuels the Future?

General Motors now offers 18 different models of FlexFuel vehicles, which are capable of running on gas or 85% ethanol fuel (E85).

Here, the company looks at how domestically-produced alternative fuels offer opportunities for advanced biofuels production processes making use of non-food crops like grass and woodchips as a feedstock.

Although Brazil leads the way in flex-fuel vehicle production, the U.S. is not far behind with over 7 million vehicles to date, says the company, giving Americans something to think about at the pump.
