Solar PV program success for Texas utility Oncor

June 28, 2010

Texas utility Oncor has said its two-year-old Solar Photovoltaic Program has been an “overwhelming” success, with 479 residential, 85 commercial and 46 government projects supported by more than $16 million in incentives.

The Dallas-based firm said the average incentive paid out for residential projects on the scheme was $14,000, while non-residential schemes secured an average $49,000 incentive.

The program funded by Oncor’s $100 million “Take a Load Off, Texas” scheme has assisted 72 installers in the state.
