Virginia plans preparations for vehicle electrification

Virginia’s Governor, Bob McDonnell has said state and local organizations along with utilities, universities and vehicle manufacturers will collaborate to prepare the Commonwealth for electrified vehicles.

The state is already home to electric vehicle charging systems companies and is involved in the federally-funded ChargePoint America program.

Its “Get Ready” plan for developing the systems needed for electric vehicle will be refined in the coming months, Gov McDonnell said.
