Connecticut dental floss maker installs solar roof

Healthcare manufacturer Thornton International has completed a new solar roof at its headquarters and production facility in Norwalk, Connecticut.

The company said converting to solar power would mean it would use as much renewable energy to make its dental products as weather permits.

The project was supported by federal grants through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
