Investment firm The Capital Group Companies is to gain a new 1.15MW solar photovoltaic array at its campus in Irvine, California.
Independent Energy Solutions Inc., of Vista, California, has just started building the facility, using 5,472 Kyocera 210 W polycrystalline panels mounted on parking shade structures.
It is expected to provide 50% of the power for the company’s data center from this summer, and save $14 million in energy costs over 25 years.
